Dr Pincott gained his medical degree with honours at Sydney University, undertook his Fellowship in General Surgery with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons through Royal North Shore Hospital and completed his sub-specialist training in Colo-rectal surgery with the Colorectal Surgery Society of Australia and New Zealand working in Adelaide and Melbourne.
His areas of subspecialty interest include colo-rectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease and minimally-invasive surgery. He is involved in colonoscopy screening for bowel cancer with the National Bowel Cancer Screening Programme.
Dr Pincott has published research on genetics, bowel cancer and surgery of the colon and rectum.
Dr Pincott consults from the Northern Beaches Hospital in Frenchs Forest and operates at the Northern Beaches Hospital, Dee Why Endoscopy Unit and Hornsby Hospital.
Dr Pincott is currently Chair of the Medical Advisory Committee and Head of General Surgery at the Northern Beaches Hospital and Chair of the Medical Advisory Committee at the Dee Why Endoscopy Unit.
He has previously served as Head of the Department of Gastro-intestinal Surgery at the Sydney Adventist Hospital, Clinical Director of Surgery and Anaesthesia for the Northern Beaches Health Service, Head of the Department of General Surgery at Mona Vale Hospital, Supervisor of Surgical Training at Mona Vale Hospital and been Chair of the Mona Vale Hospital Medical Staff Council.
Stuart is a busy father of 4 children, a keen golfer and kayaker.
